Best and worst drivers ranked by city: see where Boise lands

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A new study by QuoteWizard breaks down the best and worst drivers in the 70 largest cities in the U.S.
People from every city think their drivers are the worst, and Idaho is no exception. QuoteWizard's analysis breaks down four categories across different factors to find the best and the worst drivers, including speeding tickets, citations for running red lights or using a cell phone while driving, accidents, and DUIs.
According to the report, five out of ten of the worst cities are in California. 10th is Los Angeles, seventh is Bakersfield, sixth is Sacramento, fifth is Fresno and third is Riverside. Salt Lake City also garners an unfavorable mention at ninth in the cities with the worst drivers.
Las Vegas is the only western city to crack the top 10 for the cities with the best drivers. Most of the remaining nine are squarely located in the south, with some in the northeast. 1st is Detroit, second is Little Rock, third is Louisville, fourth is Hartford and fifth is Baton Rouge.
So where does Boise rank? Boise falls near the bottom of the best drivers list, ranking 31st overall. Boise edged out much larger cities like Minneapolis, Phoenix, Charlotte and Boston. Factors affecting Boise's rank include being 46th in accidents, 12th in DUIs, 56th in speeding tickets and 35th in citations written.
